Our Team

Clifton Dirk King, RRT, RN, MSN, CRNA

Dirk King is a registered respiratory therapist, board-certified registered nurse, and certified registered nurse anesthetist. He attended Old Dominion University where he obtained his Master of Science in nurse anesthesia and received his undergraduate bachelor’s degree in science from Texas State University. Dirk currently practices as a certified registered nurse anesthetist in Texas.

Joi Ivie, MSN, FNP

Joyce Ivie has been a registered nurse for over 14 years. She graduated from Central Texas College in 2008 with her associate degree in nursing. She continued her education and obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. Joyce then went on to graduate from the Chamberlain college of Nursing in 2016 with her Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Joyce is passionate about health, wellness and aesthetics and has been trained extensively to provide the best care to our clients here at C&D Medical Aesthetics. Joyce offers a wide array of experience in Family practice, Emergency Medicine, Nephrology and Wound care. Kelsey Shelley, FNP

Kelsey Shelley is a Registered Nurse and Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. With almost five years of experience in emergency services, Kelsey brings a wealth of expertise and a compassionate approach to patient care. She obtained her RN diploma from Covenant School of Nursing in 2020, followed by a BSN from Texas Tech University in 2021. She then completed her MSN at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2024.

In addition to her bedside nursing background, she is passionate about her role in healthcare and offers services in medical weight loss, hormone replacement therapy, botox injections, and a variety of other aesthetic procedures. Her broad skill set and commitment to helping patients achieve both health and wellness make her a valuable asset to the team.

Amber Griffith, FNP

As a Belton native, Amber is dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered care. She began her healthcare career in emergency medicine, where she gained valuable experience caring for patients in fast-paced, high-acuity settings before advancing her education and training to become a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Amber earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Kansas State University in 2011 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2019. She later completed her Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner education through the University of Texas at Arlington. In addition, she has received specialized training as a professional nurse injector in Botox and dermal fillers and is double certified through the Texas Laser Institute and the Injection Health Institute.

Passionate about helping patients look and feel their best, Amber combines evidence-based medical care with a personalized approach to wellness and aesthetics. She remains committed to staying at the forefront of healthcare through continuing education, advanced training, and the latest treatment innovations.

Gisselle Castaneda, Facility Manager

Gisselle is a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant with over six years of hands-on experience in patient care and administrative support. She currently excels at C&D Medical Aesthetics in Waco, where she contributes to both clinical and operational functions.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Gisselle effectively bridges communication gaps, enhancing patient experiences across diverse backgrounds.

In addition to her medical expertise, she is a seasoned Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor with extensive experience in helping medical students maintain their medical first responder licenses. Her dedication to education and training ensures that healthcare professionals remain well-equipped with essential life saving skills.

Stephanie Soto, Facility Manager

An advocate for a positive and welcoming clinic atmosphere, Stephanie is dedicated to creating a seamless, luxurious experience for patients. She believes in the importance of fostering a supportive environment for both clients and the team, where communication is key, and patient satisfaction is always a top priority.

With a strong background in both administration and customer service, Stephanie excels at managing operations, streamlining processes, and enhancing the overall efficiency of the clinic. Stephanie is always looking for ways to improve the clinic’s operations and patient outcomes.

Amy Valentine, Office Coordinator

Amy enjoys greeting and assisting customers while supporting the C and D Medical Aesthetics team. She grew up in Southern California where she was a receptionist for a multiple law firm suite.

Amy graduated from Golden West College and moved to Texas in 2013. She aspires to let every customer know they are welcome and appreciated.
